The Philips 699 Dual SIM was announced at the same time as Philips Xenium 9@9w, August 2007. I didn't get news about when and where this phone was going to be sold.
This handset has a candybar design. It includes a full touch screen display of 2.5inch (262K TFT), a 1.3 megapixel camera, dual SIM slots and the micro-SD card slot.
As Philips Xenium 9@9w, the Philips 699 doesn't come with a dual standby mode. Only one SIM remains active, so you'll have to reboot the handset and wait for about five seconds to switch SIMs.
This is a dual-band (GSM 900, 1800MHz) phone with Bluetooth 2.0, GPRS and a rather small internal memory of just 11MB.
Philips 699 was announced to be sold on the Chinese market, and it probably won't be sold outside this area.
